The Vintage Signals Display on Decoration Day at Dundurn Castle 9th June 2024 attracted many visitors. Many did not know about the decorating of graves but were attracted by our signal’s equipment. Some remembered Semaphore flags from their Scouting days, others were students from China who were studying ciphers and wanted to know more about our ‘Enigma’ replica. It was surprising how many visitors remembered how the Greek ‘Skytale” cipher worked form our display last year.
The VST will be displaying at the Waterdown Legion this Friday and the Parade in the John Foote armoury on Saturday. They have also been asked to attend the Warriors Day Parade at the CNE in August.
