June 16, 1948 A burial at sea took place from HMCS HAIDA for Lt (A), Nigel Douglas Fisher, Royal Navy, who died when his Sea Hornet crashed into the sea off Halifax.
June 29, 2010 At Government House in Nova Scotia, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, presented to representatives of HMCS HAIDA the World Ship Trust Certificate.
